Benjamin's Bruised by Experience is infectious. It's tribal, heavy, electronica rock. The soulful, heartfelt vocals penetrate the listener from the first verse of "Flowers" to the in your face angst of "Six". Benjamin is deep, sensual, dark and contemptuous and takes you on a journey weaving in and out of life through this CD. The trance-like elegance of "She Wears Your Name" segues comfortably into the compelling yet folky softness of "Don't Tell Me Your Leaving."
Benjamin's adventure in sound reached beyond his bass playing as he wanted to do an album project of his own where he could also sing and play guitars. He partnered with producer and programmer, Cliff in April 2000 to collaborate, and Bruised by Experience is the result. Wanting to explore new material, the two began this desktop project taking their musical talents to the limit.
